• Bottled Lagers •
Bottom fermentation combined with lagering (aging) at cool temperatures, creates this relative newcomer in the world of brewing. The classic lager is made from only malted barley, hops, yeast and water as dictated by the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Lagering or aging tends to give a smoother, more refined taste.
 
LAGER / AMBER LAGER:
Any beer made by bottom fermentation. Amber lagers are a vaguely-defined American
style of normal strength. Usually pale to medium-amber in color and not too hoppy.
